Spring is in the Air – Le printemps est dans l'air

It’s officially spring in Paris—or close enough—and despite the whirlwind of changes my life has seen lately, I can’t help but feel the hope and renewal this season always brings.

Lois Mills seated near blooming spring flowers during her 2019 visit to Amsterdam, wearing oversized sunglasses, a leather jacket, and soft waves in her long silver hair, capturing a serene moment among the blossoms.

As I settle into this new chapter, I’ve been reflecting on another spring that left a mark on my heart—back in 2019, when I had the pleasure of visiting Amsterdam during the height of bloom season. I remember wandering through a sea of tulips and daffodils, breathing in the scent of fresh flowers, and thinking, "What a beautiful world we live in." That memory has been keeping me company here in France as I wait to plant new roots of my own.

Paris doesn’t bloom all at once—it teases you. A few cherry blossoms here, a shy crocus there. And while I’m not quite in my forever home yet, I’m reminded by these signs of life that growth always begins subtly.

Whether you’re still wrapped in sweaters or already switching to sandals, I hope this season brings you a sense of newness and joy. And if it’s still chilly where you are, let this photo of me—absolutely tickled by tulips in Amsterdam—remind you: warmer, brighter days are coming. 🌸

À bientôt,

🤍, Lois
